This site has been designed especially for 4-H parents to assist them in guiding their graduates in exploring higher educations information.  Any additional information and resources and links can be forwarded to help us help you create a better resource for other 4-H families.  This site is a partnership between Texas AgriLife Extension and Texas A&M University, however, much of the information provided can be used with many Texas colleges and universities.  Contact your college of choice directly for information specific to their programs.   • Make sure your child is taking courses in high school that are required for admission
  • Make sure your child takes all the necessary exams (TAKS, PSAT, SAT, ACT)
  • Saving money is key…try some of these ways to plan ahead

    > Education IRAs (Education Savings Accounts)

Important dates…

  • August 1 – TAMU begins accepting applications for the Fall term, others on Sep 1
  • October – PSAT exams are administered by your local school district, contact them
  • Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, & Nov – SAT testing dates (register at least 45 days prior)
  • Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug , Oct, & Dec – ACT test dates (register at least 45 days prior)

How to get involved and learn more…

Learn more and get involved with a Texas A&M University advisor.  Get invitations to campus trips and other benefits of knowing an advisor personally.  Get ahead of the rest of your peers in building a relationship with university faculty and staff.

Know a 4-H Member who is interested in TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY and the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences?  Any County Extension Agent, 4-H Leader, or Parent  may send a referralt o a Texas A&M University advisor.
